AI Drafting
How and when the AI turns your queued notes into a draft
Drafting is the step where queued notes become a post waiting for your review.
When drafting runs
Drafting runs on your site's cadence, not on demand. The ceiling depends on your plan:
- Free: up to weekly
- Paid: up to daily
The Next drafting run card on the dashboard shows your schedule. There is no "draft now" button in the admin app, and changing your cadence from the admin app is not available yet.
What a run does
- Reads everything in your note queue.
- Reads your voice document, fresh, from
/voice. - Writes one draft from all of it: a title, an excerpt, and a post body.
- Empties the queue (the notes travel with the draft) and puts the draft in awaiting you on your dashboard.
If the queue is empty, the run produces nothing. The AI never invents a topic, a number, a quote, or an event that is not in the notes. If the notes are too thin for a post, it says so rather than padding.
What shapes the draft
Your notes. The AI can only use what is there. Specific notes make specific posts.
Your voice document. Tone, audience, topics, how technical to get. See Your Voice.
Your rejection reason. When you reject a draft, the one-line reason you give returns to the queue with the notes, and the next run can see it.
Reviewing a draft
Open the draft from the dashboard. The title, excerpt, and post are shown in editable boxes. You have three choices:
- Approve & publish: publishes exactly what is in the boxes.
- Save edits, keep waiting: keeps your edits, draft stays pending.
- Reject and return the notes: discards the draft; notes go back to the queue with your optional reason.
See Publishing for what approval does.
If the draft is not right
| Problem | What to do |
|---|---|
| Wrong tone | Edit the draft, or reject it and tighten your voice document |
| Missing detail | Reject with a reason; add a fuller note to the queue |
| Title is off | Edit the title box before approving |
| Too long or short | Edit the body before approving |
| Claims something that is not in your notes | Reject it, and email dev@swamplink.com; the AI is built not to do this |
