Write a note the AI can work from, then review and approve the draft

Step 1: Write a note worth drafting from

The AI only uses what is in your notes. It will not invent a number, a quote, or an event. So the note has to carry the material.

A note that works:

Replaced the SH-101 pitch-bend spring. 15 minutes, no desolder needed.
The old spring had lost tension so the bender drifted sharp at rest.
Part came from a synth-parts shop, not Roland.

Specific, has a detail or two, has a conclusion.

A note that does not:

Fixed the synth. Good day.

Nothing to expand on. The AI will say the notes are too thin rather than pad them.

Tips:

One idea per note. Several ideas, several notes.
Include the real names and numbers; those are what make a post read as yours.
Do not write the post. Rough is fine.

Step 2: Add it to the queue

On the dashboard, type the note into Add a note and click Add to queue. The preview above the form shows what is currently queued.

Step 3: Wait for the drafting run

Drafting runs on your site's cadence (Free: up to weekly; paid: up to daily). The dashboard's Next drafting run card shows the schedule. There is no button to draft on demand.

When the run finishes, the dashboard shows a draft marked awaiting you.

Step 4: Read the draft

Click Read draft. The page shows the title, excerpt, and post body in editable boxes. Read the whole thing and ask:

Does it sound like me?
Is everything in it actually from my note?
Would I put this on my site right now?

Step 5: Decide

Approve as is. Click Approve & publish. The post goes live and your site rebuilds.

Edit, then approve. Change anything in the boxes, then click Approve & publish. What you see in the boxes is exactly what publishes. If you want to keep working on it later, click Save edits, keep waiting instead.

Reject. In the Not this one section, optionally write a one-line reason (for example, "too dry, add the actual capacitor values") and click Reject and return the notes. The draft is discarded and the notes go back to your queue verbatim, so the next run can try again.

Common first-post questions

The title is wrong. Edit it in the title box before approving. The post's web address was fixed when the draft was made, so retitling does not move the post.

Can I delete or unpublish a post? Not from the admin app yet. Every publish is a git commit, so the history is there, but rolling one back is not self-service.

How long should notes be? Long enough to hold the specifics. A short note with real detail beats a long one that says nothing.

Can I queue several notes? Yes, but a run drafts one post from everything that is queued and empties the queue. If you want separate posts, queue one idea per run. If you reject the draft, all of its notes come back.
